To magnify God's name by bringing people to Jesus and membership of his family, encouraging them towards Christlike maturity, and equipping them for their ministry in the church and their mission in the world.

Welcome to our website.

St John's parish is situated approximately 10 miles north of the City of Sheffield. It borders on Wharncliffe Crags and Wharncliffe Woods and is close to the edge of the Pennines and the Peak District National Park. The valley is famous for its historic involvement in the steel industry.

If you have questions or would like to know more about St John's and what we have to offer, please get in touch.

For Heaven’s Sake Question Time?

7.30pm Thursday 30 September 2010

Have you ever had a nagging question about God?
Are you itching to get an answer to a question you have wanted to ask for years?
Then this evening may be for you.

School Holidays

During the school holidays our Children and Young People’s Leaders need a break, so the Sunday morning groups will not be running.
Our hope is that July 25 and August 15 will be All Age services, but the other Sundays will have some activities for children and young people.

SCIENCE AND FAITH COURSE

Can we believe in God and in Science?
The Big Bang – Does it rule out God?
In Seven Days? Creation or Evolution –do we have to choose?

If these questions interest you or people you know put Wednesday evenings from September 8 to October 13 in your diary.
We will be looking at them either in church or at a local pub!
