To magnify God's name by bringing people to Jesus and membership of his family, encouraging them towards Christlike maturity, and equipping them for their ministry in the church and their mission in the world.
St John's parish is situated approximately 10 miles north of the City of Sheffield. It borders on Wharncliffe Crags and Wharncliffe Woods and is close to the edge of the Pennines and the Peak District National Park. The valley is famous for its historic involvement in the steel industry.

The new Archdeacon of Sheffield and Rotherham is to be Revd Martyn Snow, Vicar of Christchurch, Pitsmoor and our Area Dean.
This is really good news for the Diocese.
Matryn will be installed on April 29 and begin his new ministry on May 1st.
