To magnify God's name by bringing people to Jesus and membership of his family, encouraging them towards Christlike maturity, and equipping them for their ministry in the church and their mission in the world.

Welcome to our website.

St John's parish is situated approximately 10 miles north of the City of Sheffield. It borders on Wharncliffe Crags and Wharncliffe Woods and is close to the edge of the Pennines and the Peak District National Park. The valley is famous for its historic involvement in the steel industry.

If you have questions or would like to know more about St John's and what we have to offer, please get in touch.

GodZone

Sun, 14 Feb - 19:00 - 20:30

GODZONE
This is our new monthly opportunity to worship and to meet with God on Sunday evenings.
There will be opportunities to pray and be quiet, to explore Bible passages individually, to be creative, and just to chat over a cup of tea or coffee.
The format will be flexible as we want to leave plenty of space for the Holy Spirit to be at work!
The first Godzone will be on Sunday 14 February from 7.00-8.30 pm in church and will be focussing on Jesus, initially throughartists’ pictures from around the world.
All welcome – come for all of it or just part of it.

NEW ARCHDEACON

The new Archdeacon of Sheffield and Rotherham is to be Revd Martyn Snow, Vicar of Christchurch, Pitsmoor and our Area Dean.
This is really good news for the Diocese.
Matryn will be installed on April 29 and begin his new ministry on May 1st.
Please pray for Martyn, Lynn and their family as they prepare for this new challenge.
