Week 6 Eph 3:14-21 Paul’s prayer for the church following sermon on Feb 21 (Stuart Shaw)
1)      The ‘you’ of this prayer is the church of both Jews and Gentiles; Paul is praying for US!
2)      Why does he mention this stuff about God as Father, and about families?
3)      ‘The riches of his glory’ (v 16) – have a look back through Ephesians to find other phrases with the word ‘riches’ in them.
4)      This prayer is about power (v 16) – power for what?
5)      What do you think it means to be ‘rooted and grounded in love’ – whose love?
6)      ‘Filled with all the fullness of God’ – what might this practically mean for us as a church?
7)      Verses 20 and 21 bring us back to God – with whom this letter began. What is the conclusion to this prayer asking for? How does this encourage us at St John’s? How might our life as a church bring glory to God?
