Discussion Questions

1) Take time for each person to explain briefly what the Gospel means for them (You might want to split into smaller groups (or even into pairs) to do this). Each group should share any common threads.
2) Have a look at the summary of Jesus’ Gospel in Mark 1:14-15. How does it compare with your own summaries?
3) Looking at Mark 1:29-39, is the gospel preached only by words?
4) By what sort of actions can we ‘preach the gospel’?
5) In 1 Cor 9:16, Paul says ‘Woe to me if I do not preach the gospel!’. What is our motivation for wanting to share our faith with others?
6) Paul says he became ‘all things to all people’. What do you think he meant? Is it dishonest? What might this mean for us as we seek to share our faith with people we know?
