Theme All Saints Day
1)      Readings Romans 1:5-7; 1 Cor 1:1-2; 2 Cor 1:1-2; Eph 1:1-2; Phil 1:1-2; Col 1:1-2
Have all these passages read aloud one after another. Who are the saints? How do saints come into being?
2)      Reading 2 Tim 1:1-7
All Saints is a good time to remember before God other Christians who have been important in our journeys of faith, just as Timothy’s mother and grandmother were important to him.
Share stories of Christians who have influenced you in your journeys of faith. You could include:-
·         Local Christians
·         Family
·         Teachers
·         Christians from other parts of the world, or from other periods in the history of the church
·         Figures from the New Testament
After a time of sharing, spend time in prayer giving thanks for them and praying for those who are still alive.
3)      You might also like to share thoughts about who you influence as Christians, and pray for them.
4)      Reading Matt 5:1-12
If you want to do some further study look at Matt 5:1-12, which in some ways can be seen as a “Saints’ Charter”. What is the first thing needed in this passage?
Look at the other things/ people that Jesus regards as ‘blessed’. How do you understand them? How can we live in this sort of way?
